Polar Fest

Polar Fest celebrates all things winter in Detroit Lakes! Polar Fest started in 1996 and then was reinvigorated in 2005 to include multiple events throughout a good two weeks in February. The 2026 Polar Fest will be held February 6-22 in Detroit Lakes.

Bring your friends to take part in fun events, such as the Poles N’ Holes Fishing Derby, Polar Fest Plunge, ULTRA Snowmobile Rally/Swap and the Frozen Fireworks.
