Dick Beardsley Races

Looking for an energizing, fall run? Slip on your running shoes and come to Detroit Lakes Minnesota to celebrate 29 years of the Dick Beardsley races. Compete in the half marathon, 10K, 5K and youth run. You’ll be treated to scenic views of Detroit Lake with cheering fans to keep you moving along. Plus, the LEGENDARY Dick Beardsley comes home every September to welcome runners from around the country to run in this fall classic! 

The 29th event takes place Saturday, September 6, 2025 in Detroit Lakes. Pick up your race packet Friday evening at Washington Ballpark field, 1330 Washington Avenue. Be sure to join the fun at the 6 pm pasta feed and Dick Beardsley’s presentation at Washington Ballpark on Friday, September 5.
