Polar Fest

Polar Fest celebrates all things winter in Detroit Lakes! Polar Fest started in 1996 and then was reinvigorated in 2005 to include multiple events throughout more than two weeks in February. The 2026 Polar Fest will be held February 6-22 in Detroit Lakes.

Bring your friends to take part in fun events, such as the Poles N’ Holes Fishing Derby, Polar Fest Plunge, ULTRA Snowmobile Rally/Swap and the Frozen Fireworks. For more info see the Polar Fest website!
